The House

takes up a number of measures under suspension of the rules, including a bill to reauthorize a popular law enforcement grant program.

The Senate

begins consideration of a global AIDS relief bill. No roll call votes are expected until Tuesday.

The President

announces he will lift a ban on offshore oil exploration.

In Washington,

the Senate Republican Conference holds a forum, chaired by Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., to discuss the judicial confirmation process.
